Switching players using the right analog stick on your controller is an absolute life saver when it comes to defending! REMEMBER..
If you don’t use it, let me ask you one thing.. How many times have you conceded a goal because the stupid game switched to the wrong player? Even if you have auto player switching on, this can still happen. And it’s annoying as HELL!
Personally, I’d recommend using manual player switching, it’s up to you what you use, but I prefer manual. Too many times I’ve been screwed over by the computer because it’s switched to the wrong player.
Things were punched! Lol 🙂
Anyway, changing players is really effective in a lot of defensive situations.
For example.. If a player is running at your defense, the computer will automatically choose the player that is closest to the opponent, this is okay, sometimes.
But, and a big but! (not that kind 😉 ) If the opposing player is running at your defender, but you can see that a perfect through ball (either chipped or grounded) is on and he’s most likely going to try and play it, you should try and cut off this pass by simply flicking the right analog towards the player you want to be and then running with the other player.
So if your opponent did attempt the through ball, you’ve got it 100% covered.
Hell yeah we do!
The importance of using the analog stick in this situation is very high, if you use the normal player switch button, you may switch to a completely different player to the one you want to be, which is why I love using the analog stick for this, it has definitely saved me a lot of goals!
P.S – This tip works perfectly with the teammate contain method (Click here for tutorial)
So that’s it for this tip 🙂 I really hope it’s helped you!
